Makeup To Cover Blushing Even If You Are A Guy
Hey there Zach here
So carrying on my blog if this is your first time here we discuss ways to both help and cure your blushing. You can read my story here on how to stop blushing, my cure could be your cure to a life without a red face. Ok so as the title suggests this post is about the time I decided to use makeup to cover blushing, and it didn’t end well.
YEP!!!!!! you heard that right I’m called Zach, I’m a man, I’m straight and I wear makeup 🙂
I cannot even remember when or how I even come across using makeup to cover blushing, but Google has become my friend and well my friend and I found this method together. I think I was on a Rosacea forum which is a long-term skin condition typically affecting the face resulting in redness, swelling and dilated blood vessels. And there was a whole thread dedicated to Rosacea sufferers using makeup to cover the redness on their face. But guess what men were using these makeup tips, and whats more it was completely invisible NOBODY would notice.
WOW!!!!
Tell me more Google!!!!
Christ, there’s green primer, green-tinted concealer, a foundation to cover redness, veil cover cream, Clinique redness, bye-bye, redness correcting cream etc so many products.
After many hours of researching and reading I decided I wanted something I could apply quick, that lasted, and most important of all wouldn’t be noticed. I found a guy on youtube Wayne Goss who is somewhat of an expert when it comes to makeup to cover bad skin on guys.
So that’s it I settled on using these products
MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation NW25
MAC Mist and Fix
Bare Minerals Matte Foundation Medium Beige
And a great big fluffy foundation brush 🙂
makeup to cover blushing who would even think of this from a blokes perspective oh well its a thing now…
Ding dong….
Its the postman, maybe it’s my makeup yes it’s here.
I apply it watching the video, check myself out at every angle look in the mirror with light on light off I look great
pale no one will notice.
I’m using makeup to cover blushing goodbye red face eat my dust.
The first test we are going to a boot fair today, not just going but we are sellers. I set the stall up layout all our items to sell and get ready for the first customers here they come. Our stall is VERYYYYY busy so far so good no one seems to have noticed I am wearing makeup to cover my redness. This is going great maybe just maybe this is it, I’m not solving the cause of my blushing but at least I can cover the redness.
I felt alive again, confident outgoing the old me was back.
Oh no, please tell me it’s not!!! yep it is my old best friend from school shit here he comes.
“Alright Sid long time no see”
He looks me right in the eye stares me up and down
“yeah been a while hows things”
A long conversation ensues it was great to see an old friend and even greater he didn’t dam well notice I was wearing makeup to cover my blushing.
RESULT!!!!!! IT WORKED….
I spent the next week applying, testing, tweaking and I was ready and confident enough to wear my man makeup to work. One bit of advice I had been told when wearing cover makeup was to make sure it was the right colour for my skin tone, fuck it I know what I’m doing it works.
So I work outdoors as a mailman, I have tested this makeup inside-outside I’ve applied it EXACTLY as I learned from the video. I think I got the right skin tone its passed loads of tests. I have worn it around the wife the kids the family NO ONE has said ANYTHING.
I was confident VERY confident that this would pass the test at work I’m wearing makeup to cover redness on my face. I felt great it wasn’t a cure for blushing but I dam well couldn’t care I felt normal for once I didn’t look like a freak with a red face.
I applied the makeup, as usual, check out all the angles mmmm looks ok I think cant notice it.
Makeup To Cover Blushing I was rumbled
So I walked into work, Rupert says good morning, morning Rupert I say little nod I smile as I continue my walk, morning Ted.
I was just about to start work when I hear this….
“WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU GOT ON YOUR FACE?”
“STUTTER STUTTER STAMMER!!!!!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN LUKE?”
“You look like one of those Japenese Geisha girls, what’s on your face?”
“Oh nothing its probably the pills I take, I’m feeling a bit pasty”
“Nah you got makeup on or something???”
“No seriously I haven’t”
with that Luke reaches out and rubs my face smudging the makeup that cant be smudged
“see you have got something on your face”
SHIT SHIT thinks quick…….
“oh yeah shit, that’s the tinted moisturizer I use on my face for my sensitive skin, dam didn’t realise it noticed”
Luke laughs and says well you look like a Japenese Geisha girl, I say well I won’t be using this again then lol.
FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!!
I quickly walk well run to the toilet, to busy ill use the office toilet. I quickly get this stuff off my face, doesn’t take much soap and water then it’s off.
My first outing at work using makeup to cover blushing has ended with disaster I really thought no one could notice it. Maybe there is a different light at work, maybe my mate knows me to well and saw the change. I don’t know but I think if done right using makeup to cover redness on the face could be a good shout. I was told to get a colour match to make sure I was getting the right colour to match my face, I didn’t do this. Maybe that was a factor in my friend noticing I had something on my face.
Oh well, lesson learned 🙂
Hope you enjoyed that
