SO HOW DID I GET RID OF REDNESS ON MY FACE?

how to get rid of redness on the face

I have been pretty much diagnosed with it all, Persistent Erythema, benign cutaneous flushing, chronic blushing, Erythematotelangiectatic rosacea to name a few. I have every blood test, scans and a lifetime of visits to the Doctors without a conclusive diagnosis.

I know that I did and sometimes still do suffer persistent horrific red face attacks that just are not normal. But the professionals still just do not fully understand our condition and know how to properly treat it, that’s why it’s taken me 25 years to find an almost cure that fits with me.

What’s worked for me is a combination of medication, antihistamines and specialist hypnotherapy tailored to our condition.

For me I realised that my condition was like a vicious circle, I would get naturally embarrassed as one does.

BUT….

Then that embarrassment manifested into the extreme blushing

Then that manifested into literally ANY trigger causing me to blush

Then that manifested into me constantly fearing blushing

Then that manifested into a near-constant fear and near-constant blush

So the doctor prescribed me with beta-blockers called propranolol which allows the heart to beat slower reducing blood pressure which can stabilize vascular expansion. There are lots of different types of beta-blockers I’ve tried different ones but ended up with rebound flushing.

I’m also on Antihistamines which seem to help with the allergy-related flushing, I get a really sore face from being in the cold and heat, plus when drinking alcohol so Antihistamines can help if you want to know how to get rid of redness on the face.

There are also other things that I do to help reduce the redness on my face you can read about them on my blog https://myblushingcures.com/category/stop-blushing-blog/

And the big one I diagnosed myself and this is the BIGGEST piece of the puzzle that has helped the most in my opinion, no one had ever diagnosed me with this, but after much reading and comparing and talking to fellow sufferers I realised I had Erythrophobia ( Fear Of Blushing ). It seems pretty obvious looking back for I would constantly worry about going red, and I used to end up fearing the blush.
